Investment Policy
The Fund will primarily invest in units of an overseas collective investment scheme with a global equity investment mandate (the “Master Fund”), with an average exposure of not less than 80% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) over an accounting period. The Master Fund in which the Fund invests is GMO Quality Investment Fund (the “Master Fund”), a fund domiciled in Ireland and established under the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) framework. The Fund will invest in the Class USD share class of the Master Fund, which is managed by Waystone Management Company (IE) Limited and has Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO LLC) as its investment manager. The GMO Quality Investment Fund seeks to invest primarily in equity securities and equity-related securities that the investment manager considers to be high-quality investments. The Master Fund may invest in companies listed or traded on regulated markets worldwide, including those located in Emerging Market Countries. The Master Fund may utilize derivatives for the purposes of Efficient Portfolio Management (EPM) and hedging. The Management Company reserves the right to change the share class and/or investment currency of the Master Fund, as deemed appropriate for the efficient management of the Fund and in alignment with its investment objectives. Such changes shall be considered approved by unitholders and will be undertaken with due regard to the best interests of unitholders. The Fund may also enter into derivative transactions for Efficient Portfolio Management and/or for hedging foreign exchange risk, at the discretion of the fund manager. The extent of currency hedging will depend on prevailing market conditions and other relevant factors, including economic, political, monetary, and fiscal developments. Where the fund manager expects the U.S. dollar (USD) to depreciate, the Fund may implement a relatively high level of foreign exchange hedging. Conversely, where the U.S. dollar is expected to appreciate, the Fund may reduce its hedging ratio or may choose not to hedge foreign exchange exposure at all. However, if the fund manager determines that foreign exchange hedging may not be in the best interests of unitholders, the Fund may elect not to hedge such exposure. Investors should note that hedging transactions may involve costs, which could reduce the Fund’s overall returns. For its domestic investments, the LH Global Equity Retirement Mutual Fund may invest in or hold structured notes, non-investment grade debt securities, unrated debt securities, and unlisted securities. The Fund may also engage in reverse repurchase transactions (reverse repos), securities lending transactions, and/or invest in other assets or income-generating instruments as permitted under the Fund’s prospectus and applicable regulations prescribed or approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC).
