Investment Policy
The Fund has a policy to invest in units of a foreign collective investment scheme (the “Master Fund”) that primarily invests in equity securities. The Fund will invest, on average during an accounting period, not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in units of the Master Fund. The Fund will invest in units of Invesco Solar ETF (the “Master Fund”), which is denominated in U.S. Dollars (USD) and listed exclusively on the NYSE Arca exchange. The Master Fund is established in the United States of America (USA) and is managed with investment advisory services provided by Invesco Capital Management LLC (the “Adviser”). Investment Objective and Strategy of the Master Fund The Invesco Solar ETF seeks to achieve investment results that closely correspond to the performance of the MAC Global Solar Energy Index (the “Reference Index”). The Reference Index is designed to provide exposure to companies engaged in global solar energy businesses. The Index comprises companies listed on eligible stock exchanges that derive at least one-third of their total revenues from activities related to solar energy, including: The generation of thermal energy or electricity from solar power; Manufacturing and supplying products and technologies used in the solar energy value chain; and Utilities and companies engaged in the sale of electricity generated from solar energy. The Master Fund seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the performance of the MAC Global Solar Energy Index as closely as possible. The Fund will invest overseas, resulting in an average net foreign exposure of not less than 80% of its NAV during an accounting period, or such percentage as may be prescribed by the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Investment of Remaining Assets For the remaining portion of the portfolio, the Fund may invest in units of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) employing inverse management strategies, solely for portfolio management purposes. Foreign Exchange Risk Management The Fund may invest in derivatives for the purpose of hedging foreign exchange risk (Foreign Exchange Rate Risk) at the discretion of the Fund Manager. The extent of foreign exchange hedging may range between 0% and 105% of the Fund’s foreign investment exposure, depending on market conditions and the Fund Manager’s assessment. Cross Investment The Fund may invest in other mutual funds managed by the same asset management company (Cross Investing Funds) in an aggregate amount of not more than 20% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV). Management Style Master Fund: Employs a Passive Management / Index Tracking strategy, seeking to replicate the performance of the MAC Global Solar Energy Index. Thai Fund: Operates as a feeder fund and seeks to achieve performance that closely corresponds to the performance of the Master Fund.
